"I received many different estimates for a new AC, furnace, and humidifier system. Vladimir was very competitively priced and very responsive with any questions that I had. He provided estimates for several different options with his recommendations. He was straight forward, flexible with install date, and took care of everything efficiently and quickly. "Hero Air met my expectations. Vladimir showed up at the appointed time to install my new air conditioner and everything went well. He had given me a choice between 2 units, both of which had similar features and energy ratings. What I liked was that Vladimir didn’t try to sell me a higher efficiency unit that I really didn’t need for my modestly-sized ranch house. Those units are more expensive and more costly to repair. I ended up with a 13 SEER rated unit which will no longer be available next year due to new EPA regulations going into effect. Since my 20 year old Carrier that was replaced probably had a SEER of 8 or 9, I’m happy with my choice. With the cottonwood season in full bloom, Vladimir showed me how to easily clean the A/C coils from the debris. This preventive maintenance tip may save me a service call somewhere down the road. Overall was pleased with the service provided and quality of product installed.

"With the furnaces and AC units in my three-unit apartment building being 16 years old, it was time to replace them. I have owned property since 1979 plus my work, before retiring, involved working with dozens of contractors.

"Vladimir was prompt, kind, courteous, thorough, professional, and delivered high quality service at a reasonable price.
He swiftly diagnosed 2 different issues (hard start compressor and burned out furnace fan motor), and addressed both the same day.
I like to know a bit about mechanical problems, and Vladimir explained the symptoms (including one or two I wasn't even aware of), his troubleshooting process, the diagnosis, his recommended fix, and the associated price.
It was an easy decision to take his recommendations and resolve the issues on the spot.

"I had 5 technicians come out and give me quotes on a new furnace because mine was not working well and needs replacement. Vladimir from Hero came out and was the only technician to take a better look at my furnace and solved a simple problem to get it working normal again. Instead of right away selling me on his product like everyone else did, he took the time to explain to me what a simple fix could do. This bought me more time and got my furnace working.I would highly recommend this company for their honesty and knowledge about HVAC needs!

"We needed a new furnace and after speaking with several larger companies who wouldn't even come out without charging a consultation fee, we called Vlad for an estimate. He was out within 2 days and gave us a very honest and thorough assessment, as well as several options to replace our furnace. The installation was quick, professional, and very fairly priced. I definitely recommend Hero Air for anyone needing help with their HVAC system.

"Our AC stopped cooling in our second story last week on the 100 degree day here in Chicago. My wife booked Hero Air after a little bit of a runaround from one of the other big companies. Long story short, Vladimir from Hero Air was there when he said he would be after booking with him, he diagnosed the problem within an hour, and explained clearly what repair was needed. He provided me the estimate and it was reasonable given what he explained was involved. He said it was a 4 hour job, and that he would have to complete the repair the next day due to having other appointments that day. Vladimir called soon after he left confirming he could get the part and start the next morning. The next day he showed up right when he said he would, he started the repair process and finished when he said he would. He was then able to peform maintenance on our first floor furnace and AC unit as I asked about the day before. He surfaced a few other problems that he remediated along the way. At the end of the day, our second floor unit is back up and running and we're ready for the many hot and humid days ahead this summer. I had a good experience and I have a high degree of confidence in Vladimir, so I plan to have him back in the fall for maintenance and rerunning our furnace exhaust."

"I can't say enough great things about Hero Air! I knew my older model air conditioner was leaking Freon and needed to be replaced, but was trying to buy myself some time with a Freon recharge. After 2 months, it leaked out again and I found myself in an emergency situation. There are lots of HVAC companies out there and it's difficult to know who is reliable or not. When I called Hero Air, we started out on the right foot right away! Vladimir answered the phone himself and told me he would stop by that afternoon. He is a man of his word, and came out the very same day! I knew this would also be a tricky job since I live in a 3 story townhouse. The compressor is on the roof and there is no roof access from the inside so a crane would be necessary. Vladimir and his team were able to schedule the crane and get the new unit installed the very next day! And that's not all…..Vladimir really knows his products. He thoroughly explain each option and pointed out trends he was seeing in the ability to get parts for the products. He made recommendations accordingly. He also made great recommendations to me around the furnace filters I was buying and the carbon monoxide detectors I had. I originally thought I needed to replace the furnace as well, but he recommended against that, noting the unit still had time before replacement was needed. Great service, great communication, great recommendations, no upselling, cares about his customers, can do tricky jobs, shows up on time! What more can you ask??"

"Vladimir at Hero Air has been our go-to for all our HVAC needs for a few years. He's been an advocate and consultant for us with a complicated HVAC installation, and is a true professional. He's very knowledgable and honest, providing the advice he's able to, not sugar-coating anything and never "selling" any services that were not required - which is not a common thing. He respects the space he's working in - always brings booties to put on his shoes, wore a mask through the pandemic, and leaves the workspace as clean as he found it. He's also helped us identify issues with a house we were buying that our home inspector did not catch, and Vladimir's advice helped us save thousands in costly repairs down the road. "I bought a 105 year old bungalow last year, and a friend recommended Vladimir for doing some maintenance on my boiler and radiators. I was expecting to have to replace the boiler, but he said it wasn't necessary and did some small repairs and maintenance. He's great with these old systems and doesn't push unnecessary upgrades. I've had him back to remove radiators when I had flooring put in, and he's always punctual and does great work. Highly recommended.

"Vladimir is fantastic! He is our guy whenever we need anything done to our boiler or radiators. He once solved a problem with some of our radiators constantly giving off heat even when the thermostat was off (nobody before him could figure it out). We haven’t even considered hiring anyone else since. He’s removed and replaced radiators for us during various home remodel projects. He’s academic, thorough, and ethical. He is also a genuinely nice person. He’ll explain everything he’s doing, and he’ll often offer insights into your system that are beyond the scope of whatever service he is providing at the time.

"Great service, great value, honest, on time, clean and polite. What more can you ask for! We had a smell in our house which he helped get rid of, not only did he get the job done, but he showed me how to maintain the furnace and AC going forward. "I had a unique problem and Hero Air solved it. Unfortunately, I had a severe rodent problem in a rental unit and it appeared that the rats were getting in through gaps in the floor and wall around the ductwork. I called Hero Air on a Saturday and Vladimir was there within an hour for a bid. He offered to remove two furnaces so I could repair the holes and clean around the machines and to fill any gaps in the duct work (there were places where the duct was not flush with the interior wall and grate). He removed, reassembled, reinstalled, patched the ductwork, and cleaned the furnaces before he left. He did it all within a day and he his price was reasonable. We will definitely be calling Hero Air the next time we have an HVAC need.

"Confirmed the appointment the say before. On time, friendly, and honest. I would definitely recommend Hero Air. There was a small issue after my appointment and I emailed to let them know - it was the Sunday of 4th of July weekend and I didn’t anticipate hearing back until Tuesday. He called 10 minutes later and came by to fixed it that same day.

"Excellent service! Communication is great! Responded on Memorial Day and was at the house at 7AM to access and fix the problem. Arrived with face mask, booties and maintained social distance! Turned out to be a fried circuit board. Replaced the board later that afternoon! Fair price and excellent work! Highly recommend Hero Air!
